The album won rave reviews from critics:

"Her singing is marked by poise and eloquence, and she spins out seamless phrases with unflagging care for the words [...]"
Erica Jeal, "The Guardian"

"The classical detox starts here with this peach sorbet of a recital: refreshing with a hint of sweetness, and a pleasant glow of Mediterranean sunshine. [...] the charm here is listening to Feola’s pure tone and immaculate diction, which [...] allow us to explore Italian romanticism in a very different way from Verdi or Puccini’s emotional barnstormers. [...] it’s a pleasure to hear Italian poems sung by an Italian singer with such directness and unaffected ardour."
Neil Fisher, "The Times"

"[...] a beautiful voice in its youthful prime, an artist on the threshold of an auspicious career. [... Respighi's] Quattro Rispetti toscani [...] show off the light, bel canto beauty of Feola’s soprano. [...] Feola matches [Iain Burnside] in the gentle, flickering lights in her voice. [...] her poise is impeccable. [...] a high point, in every sense, of singing that is graced everywhere with an elegant sweetness without ever feeling sentimental or saccharine."
Richard Fairman, "Gramophone"

It was among Editor's Choice recordings – March 2016 of "Gramophone" and shortlisted for the Solo Vocal category of 2016 Gramophone Awards.
