Rosa Feola to sing Mozart-Matinee in Salzburg Festival 2020

Rosa Feola will sing two Mozart-Matinee concerts in Salzburg Festival next year on August 1 and 2. The all-Mozart program includes Mass in C minor, K. 139 "Waisenhaus", Adagio and Fugue in C minor, K. 546, and Vesperae solennes de confessore, K. 339. Ivor Bolton conducts Bachchor Salzburg and Mozarteumorchester Salzburg. The concerts also feature soloists Katharina Magiera (alto), Sebastian Kohlhepp (tenor), and Peter Kellner (bass).

Rosa Feola made her Salzburg debut as Inez in Mercadante’s I due Figaro under Riccardo Muti’s baton in Salzburger Pfingstfestspiele 2011, and also sang the soprano solo of Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor, K. 427 inside Stiftskirche St. Peter in 2017; Dircé in Cherubini's Médée in 2019.

Rosa Feola will open Park Avenue Armory Recital Series

Park Avenue Armory in New York City announced its 2002 season. Rosa Feola will open next year's Recital Series with two recitals on January 13 and 15, in the salon setting of the Board of Officers Room. Partnering with Scottish pianist Iain Burnside, she will present a program same to the recital in DC after that includes works by Giuseppe Martucci, Franz Liszt, Ottorino Respighi, and Ciro Pinsuti.

Rosa and pianist Iain Burnside have collaborated in her Wigmore debut in 2014 as part of the Rosenblatt Recital series and during Kirker Music Festival 2018. In studio, they recorded her critically acclaimed debut album Musica e Poesia.

Rosa Feola honored by San Nicola la Strada, her hometown

On June 10, 2019, a ceremony was held at Casa Comunale of San Nicola la Strada to celebrate Rosa Feola for her achievement. "We want to celebrate her skill, the power of her voice. We want to let her know that her city, where she has chosen to continue to live and take refuge after the tours, follows her with affection. Rosa is our ambassador in the world. Wherever she goes, she always has her own city with her." («Vogliamo celebrare la sua bravura, la possenza della sua voce. Vogliamo farle sapere che la sua città, dove ha scelto di continuare a vivere e rifuguarsi dopo le tournee, la segue con affetto. Rosa è la nostra ambasciatrice nel Mondo. Dovunque va ha sempre con sé la sua città») said the mayor Vito Marotta, who, together with the councillor Lucio Bernardo, initiated and presented this event attended by many of Rosa's family members and friends.

On the day before the ceremony, a whole page of the newspaper Il Mattino (Caserta edition) was dedicated to her with an interview by Angela Lonardo in which Rosa discussed her career from the very beginning to her most recent MET debut.

Rosa Feola will come back to La Scala in "Il turco in Italia" and in concerts in 2019/20 season

Teatro alla Scala just announced their 2019/20 season. Rosa Feola will appear on the stage of the Milanese theatre for the fourth continuous season.


In February and March 2020, she will star for eight performances in a new production of Rossini's Il turco in Italia by Roberto Andò with Alex Esposito, Giulio Mastrototaro, Edgardo Rocha, and Mattia Olivieri also in the cast, conducted by Diego Fasolis. This will be after her role debut later this year in Zurich.

Later in June and July, she will join La Scala's concert season for three performances singing the soprano part of Rossini's Stabat Mater with Veronica Simeoni, René Barbera, and Roberto Tagliavini, under the baton of Myung-Whun Chung. She previously has sung in this piece in Munich and the recording of the performance was released on CD by Sony Classical.

Rosa Feola to give a recital in Vocal Arts DC 2019/20 Season

The Washinton DC based "Vocal Arts DC" series announced their 2019/20 line-up. Rosa Feola will give a recital on January 17, 2020, at Terrace Theater with Iain Burnside at the piano. Program to include selections by Ciro Pinsuti, Gaetano Donizetti, Giuseppe Verdi, Giuseppe Martucci, Franz Liszt, Ottorino Respighi, and Paolo Tosti.

This would be Rosa Feola's second recital in the United States. She previously gave a recital in San Francisco in 2016. Rosa Feola to make role debut of Fiorilla in "Il turco in Italia" at Opernhaus Zürich next season

Opernhaus Zürich just announced their 2019/20 Season. Rosa Feola will make her role debut of Fiorilla in Rossini's Il turco in Italia. Sharing stage with her will be Kyle Ketelsen as Selim, Renato Girolami as Don Geronio, and Mingjie Lei as Don Narciso. Antonino Fogliani conducts. There will be five performances on December 10, 13, 19, 28, 2019, and January 3, 2020.


Fiorilla will be Rosa's third role by Rossini, after Corinna in Il viaggio a Reims (with which she made her professional opera debut in 2009) and Ninetta in La gazza ladra.

Rosa made her house debut of Opernhaus Zürich in 2013 as Gilda in Rigoletto, and subsequently returned several times with the same role, as well as Leïla in Les pêcheurs de perles, Corinna in Il viaggio a Reims, and Sandrina in La finta giardiniera.

Rosa Feola to perform in "L'elisir d'amore" at Wiener Staatsoper next season

Wiener Staatsoper announced their 2019/20 Season. Rosa Feola will sing the role of Adina in two revival performances of Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore of the classical staging of Otto Schenk on March 24 and 31, 2020. Sharing stage with her will be Atalla Ayan as Nemorino, Samuel Hasselhorn as Belcore, and Pietro Spagnoli as Dulcamara. Domingo Hindoyan conducts.

Rosa made her role debut of Adina at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma in 2011. Among announced plans of this season and beyond, she will also sing the role at Teatro alla Scala in September and October this year, and at Staatsoper Hamburg in May and June next year.

Rosa made her Wiener Staatsoper debut in 2016 as Susanna in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro and later that year toured with the company to Japan with the same role under Riccardo Muti in the classical production by Jean-Pierre Ponnelle.

Rosa Feola to perform in "La sonnambula" at Deutsche Oper Berlin Next Season

Deutsche Oper Berlin has announced their 2019/20 Season. Rosa Feola will sing the role of Amina in Bellini's La sonnambula. There will be three performances on June 7, 11, and 14, 2020. Sharing stage with her will be tenor Javier Camarena as Elvino, and bass Alexandros Stavrakakis as Count Rodolfo. Stephan Zilias conducts.

Rosa made her role debut of Amina in January 2018 at Royal Opera House Muscat, and reprised it later that year in Beijing.

Rosa had previously sung at Deutsche Oper Berlin as Micaëla in Carmen in 2011 (her German debut) and as Adina in L'elsir d'amore in 2014.

Rosa Feola Returning to Bayerische Staatsoper in "Rigoletto" Next Season

Bayerische Staatsoper has just announced their 2019/20 Season. Rosa Feola will return to the theatre again as Gilda in Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto, a signature role of hers in which she made her house debut there back in 2015. The two performances on July 26 and 28, 2020 are part of the Münchner Opernfestspiele next summer. Sharing stage with Rosa will be baritone Simon Keenlyside in the title role and tenor Joseph Calleja as Il Duca di Mantova. Andrea Battistoni conducts.

Rosa Feola to perfrom at Domingo's 50th Anniversary Celebration at MET

On April 28, Rosa Feola will participate in the onstage gala celebration for the 50th anniversary of Plácido Domingo’s MET debut. She will perform along with fellow musicians Jamie Barton, Emily D’Angelo, Erin Morley, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Michael Volle and others.

One of Rosa's early career breakthroughs was winning the Second Prize, the Zarzuela Prize and the Rolex Audience Prize at Plácido Domingo's Operalia in 2010. When reflecting the experience, Rosa said: "Operalia was my first look into the wonderful world of opera. Before that moment, I had no idea of what theater really was". She also has a fond memory of what maestro Domingo said when she won the Zarzuela prize causing a general playfulness: "you are the best Zarzuela singer I've ever heard... after my mum of course!"

Rosa Feola to make her Staatsoper Hamburg debut in "L'elisir d'amore"

Staatsoper Hamburg has recently announced their 2019/20 season and Rosa Feola will make her house debut on May 16, 2020, in the role of Adina (Donizetti: L'elisir d'amore), with three further performances on May 23, 30 and June 1. She has previously performed the opera at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma (in 2011 and 2014), Deutsche Oper Berlin, and will sing it later this year at Teatro alla Scala. In a production by the late legendary director Jean-Pierre Ponnelle, Rosa will share the stage with Oleksiy Palchykov as Nemorino, Zak Kariithi as Belcore, and Tigran Martirossian as Dulcamara. Carlo Rizzari conducts.
