(Spontini composed this commedia musicale in three acts for Carnival 1800 in Naples. However, the score had been long lost since then until being rediscovered around 2006/2007--according to different sources. A critical edition by Federico Agostinelli with the support of Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini was published in 2009. This concert was the first time that music from this opera being performed in modern time. It wasn't until 2012 that the opera received its modern premiere with Festival Pergolesi Spontini.)
