One of Rosa's early career breakthroughs was winning the Second Prize, the Zarzuela Prize and the Rolex Audience Prize at Plácido Domingo's Operalia in 2010. When reflecting the experience, Rosa said: "Operalia was my first look into the wonderful world of opera. Before that moment, I had no idea of what theater really was". She also has a fond memory of what maestro Domingo said when she won the Zarzuela prize causing a general playfulness: "you are the best Zarzuela singer I've ever heard... after my mum of course!"
